2001 when the Rooster first went online, we chose a very basic
shipping and
handling charge structure. In January 2006, after a cost analysis, we
discovered that we had experienced a significant cost increase. We had
to bring
our charges to a point that covered our cost. Please
bear
in mind that the shipping & handling charge covers more than just
the
actual postage. The expenses of order processing include the cost of
performing
all the support functions that make shopping online so convenient. Normally,
orders are packed and shipped within one work week, but our goal is to ship within 48
hours. If
there is
a problem with, or a question about the order, we will contact the
customer. A
notification will be placed on the Rooster's HOME PAGE/STOREFRONT
should the
store have to be temporarily closed for any reason. Our
primary
carrier is the US Postal Service (USPS). Orders are shipped via USPS
Priority
Mail. They are at your mailbox everyday and our orders are usually
delivered,
by them to you, within two to three days. The one exception would be
heavy (usually
10 pounds or more) orders, which we may ship via United Parcel Service
(UPS) or
Federal Express (FEDEX) Ground. Shipping &
